Captchas stinken, nerven, sind benutzerunfreundlich. Aber wie will man als Webmaster sonst seine Website vor Spam-Bots schützen? Zur Zeit gibt es leider keine bessere Alternative.

Aber: sicher sind Captchas nicht! Laut einem Slashdot Artikel entwickelt so mancher ein Geschäft daraus, APIs zum Captchas-Cracken bereitzustellen. Da werden Preise verlangt wie 2$ für 1000 Captchas. Ich find sowas krank! Ist das überhaupt legal?? Hier ein Auszug aus der FAQ von decaptcher.com:
